Cinema can be considered an effective tool in the health care professional training. It finds its application in the humanistic disciplines and ethics, but also in the clinical and health promotion. Cinema is a “cultural object” that lends itself to the exploration of other “cultural objects” such as illness, suffering, health and educational-training process. It produces an amplification of the experience. It can lead to educational objectives for the acquisition of skills and the development of processes of critical thinking, reflective and transformative learning. Its strengths are: versatility, visual and emotional impact. By a process of identification and constant attribution of meaning it allows to empower affective, cognitive and experiential tools.
